3G0Z Robinson Crusoé SA-005

CE0Z   – Felipe, XQ7IR, expects to be active as  3G0Z  from  Robinson Crusoe
Island (SA-005), Juan Fernandez [425DXN 1821] starting on 19 May at
approximately 21 UTC.  The operation is expected to last roughly 20
days.  Initial activity will most likely begin on  40,  80, and 160
metres while he continues to progressively install  the rest of the
antennas. He will also install a  remote station that will be oper-
ated by  « a group of very well known and experienced operators  led
by Renner, PY7RP ».
Regarding  the  side  trip  to  Alejandro  Selkirk  Island (SA-101)
[425DXN 1826],  « the plan continues to move forward  and take solid
shape. Work is currently underway to secure a location far from the
populated area and at a very good elevation ».  The callsign for the
SA-101 operation will be XR0Z.
